The month of June is the most popular choice among brides and has been for many years. There are many reasons why June is such a popular month for weddings that have a lot to do with the weather and some other reasons that you might not have thought about.
The month of June is a wonderfully warm month and many parts of the country are finally starting to really heat up after a long cold winter. June is not as hot as later summer months, but not as rainy or cool as the spring months can be in some parts of the country.
One thing that you might not realize is the month is named after Juno who was the goddess of marriage and home. This is one of the many reasons that Romans chose the month for their weddings.
The month of June also provides some of the most wonderful floral choices for brides. It seems as though everything that is traditional in weddings is available during the month of June. Try to get the same kind of arrangements during January for your wedding.
Whatever the reason for the popularity of the June wedding, every bride seems to choose this month for their wedding. If you are planning a June wedding, you must begin your preparations well in advance. You will have a more difficult time finding a place for your wedding on the date that you want. Caterers and other vendors will be busier making it difficult for you to make your reservations if you don’t start early.
A year to prepare and plan a wedding is really not a long period of time. It may seem as though it is too far off, but once you begin planning the event, you will see how short the time really is. It is necessary if you are planning on being a June bride to give yourself at least that much time to ensure that everything is booked and scheduled for your big day.
You might also want to start looking for your wedding gown in advance as well. While your final fitting won’t be until much closer to the big day, it can’t hurt to have it bought and waiting until you are ready for it. Get your caterer booked for the big day before another June bride steals them away from you.
Any other month in the year is perfectly fine for a wedding, but there is just something about a June wedding that seems traditional and full of romance. You can certainly avoid much of the stress of trying to put together a wedding in the most popular month by choosing another, but a June wedding is worth the hard work and effort.
